Part 25 "Meet the Elders"

Michelle writes:
I've met the elders as they come for their noon meal. We visited a couple of the elders in their homes to see the conditions of life for these impoverished people and to bring them gifts. At one home, beans had been brought back from the Elder Center and were the next day's meal, with a small slice of onion added. This was cooking on a wood fire with two bricks holding the pot off the fire, on the home's concrete slab floor. Another woman only had a dirt floor with bamboo walls and corrugated tin roof, maybe 8' x 9'. They love the Elder Center and arrive early, understandably so.
